Seed#

The Seed page displays information about an individual Seed entry stored in your Seed Vault.

From this page, you can review the Seed’s details, update its public visibility, view Seed Count changes, manage photos, assign the Seed to Vault Collections, and create a Genetic Template from the Seed.

Seed Header#

The page header may display:

  • Seed name

  • Flowering Type

  • Genetic Type

  • Seed Count

  • Public or private status

  • Breeder

  • Description

  • Edit action

  • Add Genetic action

How to Edit a Seed#

  1. Open the navigation menu and select Seed Vault.

  2. Find and select the Seed you want to manage.

  3. Select Edit at the top of the page.

  4. Update the applicable information.

  5. Save your changes.

Seed Visibility#

Each Seed entry can be public or private.

A public Seed can appear in your public Seed Vault when public sharing is enabled. A private Seed remains visible only to you.

How to Update Seed Visibility#

  1. Open the Seed.

  2. Find the Public switch in the page header.

  3. Enable the switch to make the Seed public.

  4. Disable the switch to make the Seed private.

The visibility change is saved automatically.

Inventory History#

The Inventory History section records changes made to the Seed Count.

Each record displays:

  • Previous Seed Count

  • New Seed Count

  • Date of the change

This provides a history of Seed Count increases and decreases over time.

Photos#

The Photos section stores images associated with the Seed entry.

Supported formats include JPG, JPEG, and PNG. Each photo can be up to 20 MB and may be resized after uploading.

Select a photo to open a larger version.

How to Upload Seed Photos#

  1. Open the Seed.

  2. Find the Photos section.

  3. Select Choose Photos.

  4. Select one or more photos from your device.

  5. Select Upload.

How to Delete a Seed Photo#

  1. Open the Seed.

  2. Find the photo under the Photos section.

  3. Select the trash icon displayed on the photo.

Warning

Deleting a Seed photo cannot be undone.

Vault Collections#

The Vault Collections section allows you to assign the Seed to one or more existing Vault Collections.

The linked Collections table may display:

  • Collection name

  • Public or private status

  • Description

Select a Collection name to open its Vault Collection page.

How to Update a Seed’s Vault Collections#

  1. Open the Seed.

  2. Find the Vault Collections section.

  3. Select one or more Collections from Select Collections.

  4. Deselect any Collections you want to remove.

  5. Select Save.

Removing a Collection from the selection only removes the Seed from that Collection. It does not delete the Seed or the Vault Collection.

How to Add a Genetic Template from a Seed#

The Add Genetic action creates a Genetic Template using information from the Seed entry.

It also allows you to update the remaining Seed Count at the same time.

  1. Open the navigation menu and select Seed Vault.

  2. Find and select the Seed.

  3. Select Add Genetic at the top of the page.

  4. Enter the New Seed Count.

  5. Review or update the Genetic Name.

  6. Enter an optional Genetic Description.

  7. Select Save.

The new Genetic will be available under Genetic Templates.
