Quick Actions#
Quick Actions provide shortcuts for common Cycle activities without requiring you to navigate through several pages.
After selecting a Cycle, you can:
Add a Task Reminder
Add a Cycle Plant
Add a Cycle Light
Record an activity using Quick Log
Open the full Day entry form
Open the selected Cycle
How to Access Quick Actions#
Select the Floating Menu button near the bottom-right corner of the page.
Select the Lightning icon.
Select a Cycle.
Cycles are grouped by their Journal in the Cycle selection field.
After selecting a Cycle, the available Cycle Actions and Daily Logging options will appear.
Cycle Actions#
The Cycle Actions section provides shortcuts for adding records to the selected Cycle.
Task#
Select Add Task to open the selected Cycle and add a Task Reminders Task Reminder.
Plant#
Select Add Plant to add a Cycle Plants Cycle Plant to the selected Cycle.
Light#
Select Add Light to add a Cycle Lights Cycle Light to the selected Cycle.
Open Cycle#
Select the Cycle name at the bottom of Quick Actions to open the selected Cycle page.
Quick Log#
Quick Log allows you to record a specific activity without completing the full Day form.
You can record:
Note
Watering
Environment
Training
Plant Note
Light Note
Photo
Select a date before recording the activity.
GroBase uses the Cycle’s configured stage dates to determine whether the date belongs to the Seedling, Vegetative, Flowering, or Autoflower stage.
The detected stage is displayed beneath the date.
If a Stage Day does not already exist for the selected date, GroBase creates it when the Quick Log is saved.
Note
A growth stage must be available for the selected date before a Quick Log or Full Day Entry can be created.
How to Add a Quick Log#
Open Quick Actions.
Select a Cycle.
Select Quick Log.
Select the date.
Confirm that the correct growth stage is displayed.
Select what happened.
Enter the applicable information.
Select Save Quick Log.
After the Quick Log is saved, you can select View Day to open the related Stage Days Stage Day.
Note#
The Note action records a general note for the selected Day.
When the Day already contains a note, the new note is appended to the existing note instead of replacing it.
How to Quickly Add a Day Note#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Note.
Enter what happened.
Select Save Quick Log.
Watering#
The Watering action records watering information for either the entire Day or an individual Cycle Plant.

When watering is added to an existing Day or Plant Note:
The Amount is added to the water already recorded.
The pH replaces the current pH value when entered.
The EC or TDS reading replaces the current value when entered.
How to Quickly Record Watering#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Watering.
Select whether the watering applies to the Day or a Plant.
Select the Plant when applicable.
Enter the Amount.
Enter the pH, EC or TDS, and optional note when available.
Select Save Quick Log.
Environment#
The Environment action records daytime and nighttime environmental readings for the selected Day.
Available readings include:
Day Temperature
Day Humidity
Night Temperature
Night Humidity
At least one environmental reading must be entered.
Blank fields leave the existing Day values unchanged.
How to Quickly Record Environmental Readings#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Environment.
Enter at least one environmental reading.
Enter an optional note when needed.
Select Save Quick Log.
Training#
The Training action records training performed on either the entire Day or an individual Cycle Plant.
Available training actions include:
Defoliation
Pruning
Low-Stress Training
Topping
Super Cropping
How to Quickly Record Training#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Training.
Select whether the training applies to the Day or a Plant.
Select the Plant when applicable.
Select each training action that was performed.
Enter an optional note when needed.
Select Save Quick Log.
Plant Note#
The Plant Note action records a note for a specific Cycle Plant on the selected Day.
How to Quickly Add a Plant Note#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Plant Note.
Select the Cycle Plant.
Enter what changed with the Plant.
Select Save Quick Log.
For additional Plant-specific Day information, refer to Plant Notes.
Light Note#
The Light Note action records a note for a specific Cycle Light on the selected Day.
How to Quickly Add a Light Note#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Light Note.
Select the Cycle Light.
Enter what changed with the Light.
Select Save Quick Log.
For additional Light-specific Day information, refer to Light Notes.
Photo#
The Photo action creates the selected Day when needed and opens its existing photo uploader.
How to Quickly Add a Day Photo#
Open Quick Log for the applicable Cycle.
Select the date.
Select Photo.
Select Continue to Photos.
Choose and upload the photos from the Day page.
Full Day Entry#
Full Day Entry opens the complete form for the growth stage associated with the selected date.
Use this option when you want to enter several Day fields at the same time instead of recording one activity through Quick Log.
How to Open a Full Day Entry#
Open Quick Actions.
Select a Cycle.
Select the applicable date through Quick Log when needed.
Confirm that a growth stage is available.
Select Back to return to the Daily Logging actions.
Select Full Day Entry.
The Full Day Entry action is disabled when no growth stage is available for the selected date.
