Introduction

Welcome to GroBase, a grow tracking and planning tool designed to help you stay organized throughout each grow cycle.

GroBase can be used to track plants, environmental readings, watering, training, lighting, photos, tasks, notes, seed inventory, and more. You can keep your tracking simple or record more detailed information depending on your needs.

This User Guide will walk you through setting up your account and using the main features of GroBase.

Here is a brief overview of the key concepts in GroBase:

Templates

Templates are reusable setups that can be used when adding information to a Cycle.

For example, a Genetic Template can be used when adding a plant, while a Resource Template can be used to track nutrients, amendments, and other products. Templates save time and help keep information consistent between Cycles.

Journals

A Journal is used to organize your grow Cycles.

You can use one Journal for all your grows or create separate Journals for different grow spaces, locations, or projects. Each Journal can contain multiple Cycles.

Cycles

A Cycle represents a grow from its starting point through harvest or completion.

A Cycle can contain plants, lights, Stage Days, tasks, photos, notes, and other grow records. Depending on the grow, a Cycle may include Seedling, Vegetative, Flowering, or Autoflower stages.

Cycle Plants

Cycle Plants represent the individual plants being grown within a Cycle.

You can record information such as the plant name, genetic, flowering type, container, status, notes, watering, training, and photos.

Cycle Lights

Cycle Lights represent the lights being used during a Cycle.

You can track information such as the light name, PPFD, and any adjustments made during the grow.

Stage Days

Stage Days are daily records for the Seedling, Vegetative, Flowering, or Autoflower stage of a Cycle.

Day fields are optional, so you only need to record the information that matters for that day. A Day can include environmental readings, watering, training, notes, plant updates, light updates, photos, and resource usage.

Quick Log can also be used to record a specific action without completing the full Day form. When needed, GroBase will automatically create the correct Day for the selected date and growth stage.
