Here’s a brief overview of the key concepts in the GroBase app:

Templates#

Templates are pre-made setups that act as starting points for use within Cycles. For example, a Genetic Template is used to create a plant in a cycle and track its data, while a Resource Template helps track resource usage in a cycle. By using templates, you can streamline the process of setting up new cycles and ensure consistency across your growing projects.

For more on Templates, refer to Templates.

Journals#

Journals in GroBase are your personal hubs for organizing and managing multiple grow cycles at once. Each journal acts as a container where you can easily track and document data for every cycle, giving you a structured and efficient way to oversee your growing projects. With journals, you’ll have all your cultivation data in one place, making it easier than ever to manage, monitor, and stay on top of your growing endeavors.

For more on Journals, refer to Journals.

Cycles#

A Cycle within a Journal refers to the complete growth cycle of a batch of plants, from seed or clone to harvest. Growers can set task reminders and document various aspects of each cycle, such as plant genetics, environmental conditions, cultivation techniques, and daily activities.

For more on Cycles, refer to Cycles.

Cycle Plants#

In each cycle, you can record all the key details about the plants or genetics you’re cultivating. This includes information like the genetic name, growth characteristics, and any other important traits that define your plants. Keeping track of this data helps you understand your crops better and fine-tune your cultivation techniques.

For more on Cycle Plants, refer to Cycle Plants.

Cycle Lights#

Track all the details of your lighting setup throughout the grow cycle, including the type of lights (LED, HID, etc.), ppfd, light schedule, and distance from plants. You can also note any adjustments made to the lighting as the cycle progresses, helping you optimize your grow environment.

For more on Cycle Lights, refer to Cycle Lights.

Stage Days#

Capture detailed environmental data for each day of your cycle, including temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and other key factors that impact plant health and growth. By tracking these conditions, you can fine-tune your environment for optimal plant development.

For more on Days, refer to Stage Days.
