Light Template

A Light template in the GroBase app serves as a blueprint for defining the lighting configurations utilized within grow cycles. Whether it’s LED, HID, or other lighting types, this template enables you to capture crucial details like PPFD values and other specifications.

By utilizing Light templates, you can precisely document their lighting setups, monitor performance metrics, and optimize light distribution for enhanced plant growth and development.

Use Cases

There are many ways you can set up your Light Templates for keeping track of things based on your goals as a grower.

Here are some use cases:

• I want to track Min, Max and Avg PPFD values for a Light i used in all Cycles…

  Simply create a Light Template that represents your Light. In your Cycles, create and link your Cycle Light to the Light Template. After documenting PPFD values with Light Notes, you can view the Min, Max and Avg PPFD values you recorded for that Light in all your Cycles.

• I want to keep track of how my clones grow under different lighting setups…

  Create a Light Template that represents each light setup. Then in your Cycles, create a Cycle Light and link it to the appropriate Light Template. You can create Light Notes and keep track of things like light height, ppfd values and notes for each Light in the Cycle.

Light Fields

Light Name	Yes	The name of the light
Description	No	A brief description of the light
Brand	Yes	A reference to the Brand
Wattage	Yes	The wattage of the light
Coverage Unit	Yes	The unit of measurement for length and width (cm, m, in, ft, other)
Coverage Length	Yes	The length of the light coverage
Coverage Width	Yes	The width of the light coverage

How to Add a Light Template

1. In the navigation menu, select Templates

2. Click the Add Light button under the Lights section

3. Populate the Light Fields

4. Click the Save button to add the Light Template

5. To immediately add another, click Save and Add Another

How to Edit/Delete a Light Template

1. In the navigation menu, select Templates

2. Find and select the Template in the Lights section

3. Click the Edit button at the top of the page

4. Edit the fields accordingly and click the Update button to save the changes

5. To Delete, simply click on the trash icon and confirm the deletion

Details

This section displays general information about the Light Template.

PPFD Stats

This section displays the Min, Max, and Avg PPFD values of the Light for the corresponding Stages throughout your entire account.

Associated Cycle Lights Table

This table displays the entries of each Cycle Light that is associated to this Light Template.
