QR Codes#
QR Codes provide a quick way to open linked GroBase content using a device camera or an image file.

QR Code Scanner#
The QR Code Scanner allows you to scan a GroBase QR Code and open its associated page.
You can scan a code using your device’s camera or select an image containing a QR Code.
For security, the scanner only accepts URLs from the GroBase domain.
How to Use the QR Code Scanner#
Select the Floating Menu button near the bottom-right corner of the page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Scan Using Your Camera#
Select Request Camera Permissions.
Allow GroBase to access your device’s camera.
Point the camera at the QR Code.
GroBase will open the associated page after recognizing a valid code.
Scan an Image File#
Select Scan an Image File.
Select Choose Image.
Find and select the image containing the QR Code.
GroBase will scan the selected image and open the associated page when the code is valid.
Plant QR Codes#
Each Cycle Plant can have a unique QR Code that links directly to its Plant page.
Plant QR Codes can help you quickly access plant information while working in a grow space. You can save or print a code and place it near the related plant or container.
QR Codes can be generated in PNG or SVG format.
QR Code Options#
GroBase provides two Plant QR Code options:
Basic — Creates a simple, ready-to-use QR Code without customization.
Custom — Allows you to customize the QR Code’s colors, text, border, and other design elements.
How to Access Plant QR Codes#
Open the applicable Cycle Plant page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Select Basic or Custom.
Select PNG or SVG as the file type.
Select Download.
On supported mobile devices, you may also be able to select Share.
How to Customize a Plant QR Code#
Open the applicable Cycle Plant page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Select Custom.
Select Customize.
Adjust the available colors and design options.
Optionally, update the plant name displayed with the QR Code.
Select Test QR Code to confirm that the generated code is valid.
Select PNG or SVG as the file type.
Select Download.
On supported mobile devices, you may also be able to select Share.
QR Code Presets#
QR Code Presets save custom design settings so they can be reused when creating Plant QR Codes.
Presets can help you create QR Codes with a consistent appearance without configuring every color each time.

How to Add a QR Code Preset#
Open a Cycle Plant page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Select Custom.
Select Customize.
Enter a name in the Preset Name field.
Adjust the available colors and design options.
Select Save.
How to Update a QR Code Preset#
Open a Cycle Plant page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Select Custom.
Select Customize.
Select the Preset from the Select a Preset field.
Adjust the available colors and design options.
Select Save.
How to Delete a QR Code Preset#
Open a Cycle Plant page.
Select the QR Code icon.
Select Custom.
Select Customize.
Select the Preset from the Select a Preset field.
Select the trash icon.
Confirm the deletion.
