Cycle Plants#

Cycle Plants, or just Plants, in the GroBase app are representations of specific plant specimens grown in a Cycle. Each plant entry allows you to document detailed information about individual plants, or a group of plants within a cycle, including plant issues, characteristics, and more.

Important

Plants must be associated with a Genetic Template.

How to Add a Plant#

Note

Plants can be configured to represent an individual or a group of plants by setting the Plant Count.

  1. Navigate to the Cycle

  2. Click the Add Plant button under the Cycle Plants section

  3. Populate the Plant Fields

  4. Click the Save button to add the plant

  5. To immediately add another, click Save and Add Another

How to Edit/Delete a Plant#

  1. Navigate to the Cycle

  2. Find and select the plant under the Cycle Plants section

  3. Click the Edit button at the top of the page

  4. Edit the fields accordingly and click the Update button to save the changes

  5. To Delete, simply click on the trash icon and confirm the deletion

How to Bulk Add Plants#

Note

Each Plant created will have the Plant Count set to 1.

  1. Navigate to the Cycle

  2. Click the Bulk Add Plants button under the Cycle Plants section

  3. Populate the required fields marked with *

  4. Click the Save button to add the plants

  5. To immediately add another, click Save and Add Another

Details#

This section displays general information about the Cycle Plant. You can also monitor the lifecycle of each plant by configuring start dates, veg start dates, flower start dates and toggle between active, terminated, and harvested statuses with ease.

Plant QR Code#

QR Codes can be generated for each Cycle Plant. By scanning a plant’s QR code, you can immediately navigate to the plant’s page where you can view the plants information and make any updates.

How to access Plant QR Codes#

  1. Navigate to the Plant page

  2. Click on the QR Code icon

  3. Select Basic or Custom

  4. Choose between PNG or SVG file type

  5. Click Download or Share if on mobile to save it

How to customize Plant QR Codes#

  1. Navigate to the Plant page

  2. Click on the QR Code icon

  3. Select the Custom button

  4. Click the Customize button

  5. Adjust the colors to your preferences

  6. Optionally, update the plant name to be shown

  7. Click Test QR Code to make sure it is valid

  8. Choose between PNG or SVG file type, then click Download or Share if on mobile to save it

Plant Issues#

Keep track of plant issues and interventions using the integrated issue tracking system. Record details such as sign, location, start date, and resolution date to facilitate proactive management of plant health.

How to record a Plant Issue#

  1. Navigate to your Plants page

  2. Under the Plant Issues section, click the Add button

  3. Populate the fields accordingly

  4. Click the Add button to save

Plant Traits#

Track plant traits to capture unique characteristics and attributes. Record leaf shape, pest resistance, and other relevant traits to enhance your understanding of each plant’s development.

Height of the plant. Choices are: “Short”, “Medium”, or “Tall”.

Leaf Shape

Shape of the plant leaves. Choices are: “Broad”, “Narrow”, or “Hybrid”.

Stem Color

Color of the plant stem. Choices are: “Green” or “Purple”.

Bud Density

Density of the buds. Choices are: “Dense” or “Airy”.

Branching Pattern

Pattern of the branches. Choices are: “Bushy” or “Sparse”.

Flowering Time

Time of flowering. Choices are: “Early”, “Mid”, or “Late”.

Internodal Spacing

Spacing between nodes. Choices are: “Short”, “Medium”, or “Long”.

Bud Size

Size of the buds. Choices are: “Small”, “Medium”, or “Large”.

Trichome Density

Density of trichomes. Choices are: “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”.

Root Development

Depth of root development. Choices are: “Shallow” or “Deep”.

Flower Color

Color of the flowers. Choices are: “Green”, “Purple”, or “Orange”.

Light Intensity

Preferred light intensity. Choices are: “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”.

Temperature Tolerance

Tolerance to temperature. Choices are: “Low”, “Moderate”, or “High”.

Humidity Preference

Preferred humidity level. Choices are: “Low”, “Moderate”, or “High”.

Nutrient Requirements

Nutrient needs. Choices are: “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”.

pH Sensitivity

Sensitivity to pH levels. Choices are: “Low”, “Moderate”, or “High”.

Powdery Mildew Resistance

Resistance to powdery mildew. Choices are: “Susceptible” or “Resistant”.

Spider Mite Resistance

Resistance to spider mites. Choices are: “Susceptible” or “Resistant”.

Mold Resistance

Resistance to mold. Choices are: “Susceptible” or “Resistant”.

Pest Attraction

Attractiveness to pests. Choices are: “Low”, “Medium”, or “High”.

Pest Resistance

How to record Plant Traits#

  1. Navigate to your Plants page

  2. Under the Plant Traits section, update traits accordingly

  3. Click the Update button to save

Day Notes#

The Day Notes tracking feature enables you to maintain detailed records of plant growth and development across different stages of the lifecycle. With dedicated tables for Veg, Flower, and Autoflower stages, you can effortlessly document key observations associated with each day of growth.

Plant Harvest Review#

Record observations related to growing level, smell profile, taste profile, effects profile, and medicinal benefits to inform future cultivation strategies. You can also upload and organize photos associated with each plant review to create a comprehensive visual record.

How to Harvest a Plant and perform a Plant Harvest Review#

  1. Navigate to your Plants page

  2. Under the Status card, enter the Harvest Date, then click the Harvest button

  3. Optionally, enter the Dry Time and Harvest Dry Weight, then click the Submit button

  4. Under the Plant Harvest Review section you can configure the following:

  • Smell Profile

  • Taste Profile

  • Effects Profile

  • Medicinal benefits

  • Plant Review Photos
